Dokdo/East Sea

The beautiful islands of Dokdo are located at the easternmost part of Korea. The islands’ addresses cover street numbers 1 through 96, Dokdo-ri, Ulleung-eup, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Location
Dokdo is comprised of two main islands; Dongdo (East Island), and Seodo (West Island). Dongdo is located at 37º 14′ 26.8″N and 131º 52′ 10.4″E. Seodo is at 37º 14′ 30.6″N and 131º 51′ 54.6″E.
Proximity
Dokdo is located 216.8 kilometers east of Jukbyeon, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and 87.4 kilometers southeast of the island of Ulleungdo.
Composition : Dokdo consists of two main islands, Dongdo and Seodo, and 89 tiny rocks and reefs. The shortest distance between the two main islands is 151 meters at low tide.
Area : The islands cover a total area of 187,554㎡, Dongdo 73,297㎡, Seodo 88,740㎡; and the rest 25,517㎡.
Elevation : The peak of the cone-shaped island of Seodo is 168.5 meters above sea level, and the highest elevation of Dongdo is 98.6 meters above sea level.
Coastline : Dokdo has a total coastline of 5.4 kilometers (Dongdo 2.8㎞, Seodo 2.6㎞), and there is a port on Dongdo.
